Our Story

Femme & Fawn is an independently owned women’s and children’s boutique based in Carlsbad, California, in North County San Diego. We curate women’s clothing, children’s clothing, jewelry, books, fragrance, art, gifts, and home goods for people drawn to beauty, individuality, nostalgia, and a more intentional way of living.

Femme & Fawn was born from a life spent caring for people and creating beauty in small, tender ways...noticing the quiet details, making room for softness and nostalgia, and finding meaning in the little moments that make life feel gentler.

After walking through profound personal loss, when my oldest child took her own life at the age of 25, I needed somewhere to rest my attention. I needed a place to use my creativity, build toward something meaningful, feel a small sense of control again, and focus on the beauty I still saw around me in everyday objects.

Femme & Fawn became a lifeline, a place to pour my energy into what inspires me, rather than only into the weight of grief. It is also a quiet way to support suicide prevention and other causes close to our hearts, with a portion of every purchase helping carry that care forward.

Today, Femme & Fawn is a lovingly curated shop for women, children, and all of our beautifully imperfect, tender, wild-hearted selves. It is a home for every side of the feminine spirit: romantic and whimsical, wild and coastal, bohemian and classic, tender and edgy, soft and free.

It is for mothers and daughters, friends and grandmothers, dreamers and caretakers, soft souls and free spirits...anyone who longs for a more beautiful, intentional way of moving through the world.

We cherish softness and nostalgia while holding fiercely modern values: protecting women, affirming LGBTQ+ people, and honoring autonomy, consent, inclusion, and care.

It matters who you support when you choose to shop small. My hope is that being here feels like shopping with a friend; someone who sees your beauty, treats you with kindness, helps you feel safe, celebrates your individuality, and chooses each piece with you in mind.
